HURRICANE PETE MAKES LANDFALL.

Storm does the unexpected, making landfall, 14 dead from flooding.

Report by: Tasha Stevens
PFT News, Workers Point

Hurricane Pete did the unexpected late last night and made landfall about 200 kilometres south of Workers Point.  The tropical depression quickly lost power as it came further inland before carving itself northwards as it headed towards the Great Ice Sea.

Members of the PopularFreedom Weather Service were a bit unprepared for the path of the storm since most storms that happen off the eastern coast just head straight north into the Great Ice Sea before disappearing.  This storm however was different.

'We're at a loss to explain the reasons this storm came inland at this time', noted a representative from the PopularFreedom Weather Service.  Meanwhile the remnants of the storm now renamed Queta, were heading back out to sea in a northwards path and expected to leave the country over Brunstone, PopularFreedom (about 40 kilometres east of Pearson Cliffs).  The storm was unexpected to affect any home games for PopularFreedom in World Cup 25.
