Six months before the 2006 season begins and the Blues are already getting ready.  Coach Joseph Daniels is a man on a mission.  Unlike most of the PopularFreedom Rugby League (PRL) teams, the expansion Locke Harbour Blues have been preparing for the league opening for months now.  As of this past Wednesday they have gotten themselves down to a team of 25, with 21 of those heading to the World Cup of Rugby later on this year.

'I feel honoured', noted starting flyhalf Glenn Connaught after he was informed that the Blues would be representing the nation at the World Cup tournament.  Coach Daniels is running the backs especially quite intensely as he tries and prepares them for his style of game which is more of a kick and pursue style.

The Blues have two speedy wingers in Patrick Botts, and Richard Anderson who should be able to adapt to Daniels style quite well.  'I'm looking forward to a lot of tries', noted Botts in regards to questions on how often he thought he would be scoring in the World Cup.  Meanwhile flanker Timothy Ziere seemed upbeat in relation to Coach Daniels focusing more on getting the ball out to the backs as he noted, 'we have two very fast flankers who if we want to score we will have to make sure we will be getting to those balls before the wingers'.
