The North Beach Sharks, surprising no one except possibly their cross-city rivals, the Pleasantview Ravens won their 3rd of 3 group games to take sole possession of 1st place in the Helmet Rahn Cup.

The 2004 Loyalty Bay Soccer Champs, won their first game on Friday 3-1 over Liverpool England.  Their second game yesterday they won in equally strong fashion over Ineptia 2-1.  Their final game today they won in the pouring rain in Delmenhorst, Northwest Prussia.

They face strong competition however in the playoffs.  'The West Olympia team are really strong so we expect to see them again', noted coach Dennis Viltacore.  'I'm proud of our boys, they have proved themselves as we all knew they would on the international stage, though there is more to go.  That Miraclia team worries me, they rested some of their star players today in their loss verses Torquay so I don't care what their record says, I expect them to be our biggest challenge'.
