Elton Howard blitzed around the Locke Harbour track in 27.32 seconds to set a record for the track and win the pole position for the race today. West Olympia in fact acquired the top 2 starting positions as Tom Sisken also flew around the track in 27.51 seconds. 'Those guys were smoking, they must be using rocket fuel', a frustrated Samuel McGregor of Miraclia noted. ' I broke 28 seconds on my third time around so I figure that is good enough and then vapour boy goes out and kills that mark'. ________________________________________ '...that first turn is gonna be a killer...I suspect some of the racers are not going to be ready for it...' -Racer Elton Howard. ________________________________________ When asked how he got the car going so fast Howard responded, 'that first turn is gonna be a killer. It comes up on you real quick, you go from fighting for room to no room real quick and I suspect some of the racers are not going to be ready for it. If you get a crash I want be ahead of that so maybe I can lap most of the field real quick before the yellow comes out'. |
