The Peace Warriors are still unbeaten, and Athens knows it. 'You are talking about a team that was nothing last season and that is everything this season', noted Nate Taylor when asked what he thought of his upcoming game against the Warriors. 'Their entire team are workhorses, I am going to have a tough job today but we are just gonna have to work hard'. This is probably the first game where the team facing the Warriors is not taking them lightly. Warriors coach David Jeffs noted what he thought about that when he stated, 'I am worried today, Athens is not like the rest of the league, they will not take us lightly, they have already seen what we can do, and more importantly they need the win and can get it if we let them'. ________________________________________ '...we are the warriors and we're gonna crush you...' -Warrior fans singing at 9am this morning outside Veterans Stadium. ________________________________________ 'Fans were already milling about in front of Veterans Stadium this morning chanting and singing the unofficial Warrior anthem, 'we are the warriors and we're gonna crush you', over and over again. 'Everyone knows Peace has the craziest fans', noted one heavily face painted fan outside the entrance. When asked why he was outside 4 hours prior to the game with everyone else he noted, 'what you think, we gotta get warmed up for today's game, you think this is loud, this ain't nothing'. |
