The Warriors did it again. Absolutely out rucking, out mauling, their opponents to win their game quite easily yesterday at home. Inside Centre, Kevin Andrews started the game off with an impressive 45 yard drop kick within the first minute to open the scoring. After that the Imperialists seemed to be on their heels the entire game. 'That drop kick really set the stage after what he did against the Dragons a few weeks back', noted Warrior Flanker Larry Qurei. The Imperialists did seem taken aback after that drop kick. 'Their defense seemed worried about Kev getting the ball so we would fake passing it to him all the time and then barge through them', noted Winger Luke Peterson. Tries were shared all around with Eight Man, Pete Rijlam leading with 2. Halfway through the second however he left the game with an undisclosed injury ________________________________________ '...no one has ever taken us seriously, nor will they until we win a championship...' -Peace Warriors coach, David Jeffs. ________________________________________ Following the game Warriors coach, David Jeffs, commented on the lack of opposition the Warriors have seemed to face for most of the season. 'We are the Warriors, a team with a past history where we did not win so no one has ever taken us seriously, nor will they until we win a championship. That is our goal this year and we are halfway to achieving it.' |
