2005 Production
2005 once again saw production limited by weather conditions.  Below zero freezes in the winter, followed by late frosts, followed with periods of dry weather limited total production to just over 2 tons.

Here is a summary of production by variety:

Foch                          460 pounds  or 4.6 lb/vine   equals 1.38T/ac
Leon Millott             400 pounds or 4.0 lb/vine    equals 1.2T/ac
Traminette                935 pounds  or 3.11 lb/vine   equals .94T/ac
Chamborcin               595 pounds or 3.97 lb/vine  equals 1.2 T/ac
Cabernet Sauvignon   925 pounds  or 3 lb/vine  equals .9T/ac
Gewurztraminer            25pounds   or  Crop failure ;-(

Total production        4,079 pounds  on 2 acres

Grapes were sold to area wine makers as well as to Lovers Leap Vineyard and Chrisman Mills Winery.  I also kept enough grapes to make the following wine for myself:

15 gallons Traminette
5 gallons Foch
2 gallons Gewurztraminer
4 gallons Cabernet Sauvignon
5 gallons Norton
Jingles, our newest addition..
Can't say we will get a lot of work from this one...
