The response to Gregory Scotts music has been undeniable. "His sound is powerful, fresh, and youthful, but he performs like an artist that has been in the business for years" (WSNU Radio). The songs "Last Goodbye" and My Light, released independently in May and November of 2000, became two of the hottest tracks on national AC radio in the second half of the year, garnering up to 800 spins per week on Gavin and FMQB reporting stations! September 2001 would bring even more recognition. With a large-scale promotion on the Los Angeles radio station KIIS FM, he headlined to huge crowds at Hollywoods biggest clubs, including the House of Blues, the Key Club, and the Whisky. His success was matched by critical acclaim when he was nominated for two Los Angeles Music Awards for Best Male Singer-Songwriter and Best Adult Contemporary Artist.

Before all these incredible events took place, Scott had always been working hard to reach his goals. When he was eight years old, he began taking dance lessons, and by 1990, he had won the California State championship for best newcomer. For the next four years, he performed in countless musicals and plays while taking a full schedule of singing and voice lessons. In 1994, he won an acting competition at Paramount Studios where a manager and agent discovered him. He focused hard on acting for the next two years and landed a role on the FOX kids series, Masked Rider and also appeared in several commercials.

In 1997, while working at a small radio station, Scott decided he wanted to do more than simply play music on the radio. He wanted to make it. Influenced by the likes of Madonna, Mariah Carey, Don Henley and Genesis, music gave him consistent joy and a powerful outlet to express himself. He soon found himself performing regularly near his home in Palos Verdes, a quiet suburb of Los Angeles. By early 1999, he met up with producer Jim DeCicco to begin work on his first demo. Before even finishing, he had the opportunity of a lifetime, being backed by a 17-piece orchestra at the world famous Whisky-A-Go-Go! After a great review of the show in Music Connection, and further appearances at the House of Blues, the Key Club and the Gig, he finished up the disc and sent them to a national radio promotion company. The songs were test marketed to Billboard, R&R, Gavin, and FMQB reporting stations and received the highest possible mark of 4 stars!

The 21-year-old singer-songwriter still has much to accomplish. He looks forward to going on tour and debuting on TRL. Most importantly, though, Scott is glad to see people enjoying and being effected by his music. 1
