For the new fans reading this, why don’t you tell us a little about yourself? How long have you been performing?
Hi, I'm Eytan Mirsky a pop-rock performer whose music you may have heard in films like "The Tao of Steve" and "Happiness." I've been making music seriously for about 7 years, but I've been playing for much longer than that.

How would you describe your music?
Those who know the genre called "power pop" would use that term. But for those who don't know it, I'd just call it straight ahead "rock and roll." We're talking 3 minute pop songs with bouncy melodies and humorous lyrics. If you like early Nick Lowe, Elvis Costello and Marshall Crenshaw, you'd probably like my music. It also has some similarities to Jonathan Richman's stuff. (He's the troubador/narrator in "There's Something about Mary" in case you didn't know.)

What can fans expect to find/experience at your shows?
They can expect a lot of fun. People tell me that my between song patter is as entertaining as the actual music.

What are your goals/hopes to accomplish with your music?
Of course I'm trying to express myself creatively. But beyond that I'm trying to get my songs into more films and make some more money. Aside from that I was hoping to marry a supermodel like all those other rock stars, but it doesn't seem to be working out.

If you could do a duet with any artist out there right now, who would it be and why?
I've never thought about doing any duets. But if I did do one, I'd want it to be an artist with an extremely large audience. Maybe Britney's available!

If you could open up for any artist out there right now, who would it be? If you could perform anywhere, where would you pick and why?
I think it's important to open for artists for similar tastes because otherwise the audience gets restless and doesn't listen to your music. Having said that, I'm not sure what artists are out there that are popular that are making music similar to mine. Elvis Costello might be a good selection. Maybe Weezer.
If I could perform anywhere it would be on television because that's the way to get your music to the most people. The Late Show with David Letterman would be a good venue.

Do you got a favorite song to perform? If yes, what song and why?
My favorite song to perform is "Record Collection" because I get everyone to sing along to the very catchy chorus. It's always a lot of fun.

If you weren't singing, is there something else you could see yourself doing for a career?
I'd like to be a screenwriter. Unfortunately, I tried and pretty much failed. I might try again some time. I wouldn't mind being an actor, either.

Last one, What message would you like to send out to your fans?
To my fans, I say thanks for the support. I wouldn't continue to make music if I didn't get such positive reactions from people. To people who aren't yet fans I say "Go check out my CD's. What are you waiting for?!"
