Brian Anthony
Portrait of a Performer, Singer/Songwriter, Producer: Brian
Anthony
(*Read further for Brian's STATS!)
Raised in the small suburb of San Francisco called Belmont, Brian Anthony began
his musical journey at the ripe age of eleven. Brian's musical intonation and
"ear" for music made it possible for him to play the piano with ease. It was
then that he began playing and seriously song writing on his own--with no formal
training. At thirteen, Brian would fool his piano teachers by picking pop pieces
off the radio and duplicating them in recital or in practice. Soon, everyone
realized what Brian was up to and he would have to back track and finally learn
the notes.
After a few years of being classically trained in voice and piano, Brian began
to cut his teeth on auditioning for musical theater productions in the San
Francisco Bay Area. At the same time, he single handedly snagged himself his
first commercial theatrical agents. Between school productions and professional
theater, auditioning for commercials and major motion pictures AND keeping a
favorable GPA at Carlmont High School...Brian barreled his way into show biz. So
I guess you can sum Brian up in one word... "DRIVEN".
While still fresh to the business and acting and singing on stage, film, and
TV--Brian won a spot (out of 600 applicants of all ages) on NBC's Saturday
morning show, "Name Your Adventure". There, Brian would write and record with
Boyz II Men an original ballad called, "Save Me From The Pain". This episode and
song aired all over the nation and opened a lot of doors for Brian as a credible
and professional young singer/songwriter musician.
In the winter of 2001, Brian took a trip to Nashville to song write with some of
the most seasoned musicians in the biz. There, Brian would co-write 4 songs in 7
days and two of them would be chosen to re-record in Los Angeles. These would
make it on his 6 song EP, "RISK" that you can order at CDbaby.com--an online
music store (www.cdbaby.com/cd/briananthony).
Among some of the celebrity clientele having worked with some of the talent in
Brian's songwriting and producing camp are Jewel (Compilation/Atlantic Records),
Paula Cole ("Where Have the Cowboys Gone" Warner Bros.), Stacey Ferguson ("Black
Eyed Peas"), Martika ("Toy Soldiers"), Kimberly Locke (American Idol /Remix
"When I Think of You") "Deborah Gibson (Broadway Star/M.Y.O.B.), Swirl 360,
Karissa Noel ("Corrupt"), and Tina Turner--the list goes on...
Brian's most recent endeavor has a very fresh new direction and mass global
musical appeal. He's decided to move into the dance market and craft some new
high energy dance tracks for the clubs such as the remix of "Never Again/ (That
Kind of Love)". Brian also decided to join forces with San Francisco Bay Area
producer/writer "Big Ed" Moore of E-Team Productions and MixFixer Music who
worked with the likes of Jewel, and Paula Cole (song "Where Have the Cowboys
Gone" catapulted to #3 on the dance charts ) among many others. There in
Northern California, "Big Ed" and Brian co-wrote and recorded Brian's sure to be
club smash-hit "IN MY DREAMS"--a sexy and edgey old school house track with a
base line to make you get up and dance your butt off!
These days you will find Brian performing and promoting his new music in clubs
all over the Los Angeles area. You can also look forward to even MORE music as
Brian is in the recording studio right now, crafting more new tracks! He's also
making time for a little acting on the side.
This savvy heartthrob with matinee idol looks, a down-to-earth demeanor, and a
talent to reach out to the global market place in music with his fresh new
direction-- makes him a candidate for superstardom in the months to come!!!
