2001: A Foolish Oddity
Microsoft's Visual C++ (VC) runtime library has a bug that
miscalculates times during the first week of April 2001.
Daylight-savings time (DST) begins on April 1, 2001, but Visual
C++ assumes that DST doesn't start until April 8. Because of
the bug, any application that has been compiled with
VC-including nearly all Microsoft applications-may display or
calculate times that are off by an hour during that week. Find
out more about this problem at

FILE MANGLER
Some consider it a feature that the old Windows 3.1 File
Manager still runs under Windows 95. However, there's at least
one bug that can bite you if you use File Manager. If you copy
or move a file that has a long filename, the long name will be
lost and only the short name will be left. The solution is to
avoid File Manager; use Explorer or a DOS command prompt to
move or copy files.

WHO RUNS FIRST?
Win95/98 runs the items in your StartUp folder in alphabetical
order. But you can control the order by renaming the shortcuts:
Prefix the first item you want to run with A, the second with
B, and so on.
