Linux For Dummies!

By Jon "Maddog" Hall

Points I would like to make:

o Linux USED to be hard to install, but is not any more if:

	- you install to fresh machine (no windows on it)
	- you install to fresh disk (no windows on it)
          and dual boot
	- you have PCI or AGP style of video hardware

o Linux is getting easier to use due to KDE and GNOME,
 two desktops under development

o Linux can be used from very small computers such as the
 world's smallest web-server, to wearable
	computers, to Extreme Linux systems
(supercomputers made out of inexpensive PCs).

o Linux is freedom and control

+ source code gives you control over what you do
	+ the corner garage
