*1. VISUAL SOURCESAFE BUG INFORMATION        
    
If you're using Microsoft's Visual SourceSafe, version 4.0 or 5.0, 
you should be aware of the confirmed bugs and their fixes.

*2. SDK BUG INFORMATION        
    
Even SDKs are subject to bugs! If you're developing for Windows 
NT, version 4.0, you should be aware of the known bugs in the

*3. PATCHING JANE'S 688(I) HUNTER/KILLER        
    
Electronic Arts, maker of the popular Jane's 688(I) 
Hunter/Killer, recently released a patch that fixes a few known 
problems. The patch, version 1.05, incorporates all previous 
patches, including the realism patch, and fixes several newly 
identified problems you may experience, as well as adding 
several enhancements. You can download the patch from the

*4. PROBLEMS WITH OUTLOOK EXPRESS AND PGP        
    
If you try to install Outlook Express over PGP (Network 
Associates International's Pretty Good Privacy), you may 
experience a problem that prevents the launch and/or presents an 
error message stating that one or more DLLs are missing. This 
problem is known to affect Outlook Express, version 5 for Windows 
95, 98, and NT. You can work around this glitch by uninstalling 
Outlook Express, uninstalling the Pretty Good Privacy program, 
and then reinstalling Outlook Express, version 5. For additional

*5. VISUAL STUDIO 6.0 SERVICE PACK        
    
Microsoft recently released service packs for its Visual Studio 
6.0 development package, which provides bug fixes and addresses 
other issues discovered since the product's release. This service 
pack, created for the Visual Studio family of tools, fixes 
several known problems and also provides the source files and 
debug versions of the Microsoft Visual C++ run-time components 
for developers using Visual C++. For more information and to

*6. DUNGEON KEEPER PATCH         
    
Electronic Arts, maker of the popular Bullfrog Dungeon Keeper 
game, recently released a patch that addresses a known problem 
you may experience when running the game on IPX. The Windows 98 
IPX patch resolves the "Unable to Initialize" error that occurs 
when you're trying to host an IPX multiplayer game using Windows

*7. VISUAL BASIC 5.0--VISUAL SOURCESAFE BUG        
    
If you're using Microsoft's Visual Basic with Visual SourceSafe, 
you may receive one of the following errors when trying to 
retrieve a project from SourceSafe:  

"Failed to reload project" 
"Application error" 
"The instruction at '0x0fa659de' referenced memory at '0x30303030'. 
 The memory could not be read." 

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug and has fixed the 
problem in Visual Studio 97 Service Pack 2. For more information

*8. NASCAR REVOLUTION PATCH         
    
If you're racing with Electronic Arts' NASCAR Revolution, you'll 
be interested in a recently released patch, version 1.02. This 
patch includes improved race strategy for the CPU cars in regard 
to yellow flags, fixes the "jitter" bug (in 1.01), and includes
