*1. CORELDRAW 8 SERVICE PACK        
    
If you're running CorelDraw 8 on your NT workstation, you may 
notice long delays when accessing some menu options. Corel has 
identified a problem that causes a delay in File, Open and File, 
and Import dialog boxes under NT 4. Service Pack 2 for CorelDraw 
8 addresses this problem and others. This latest service pack 
upgrades CorelDraw 8 from build 369 to 433. For additional

*2. HEXEN II MISSION PACK PATCH        
    
If you're hacking your way through Activision's Hexen II, you may 
face a few difficulties other than those within the game. 
Activision has identified several known bugs in the game such as: 

- Game crashed in Skill Level 4 
- Tibet 10 did not circulate  
- Paladin's Axe sometimes crashed

*3. BATTLEZONE 1.4 PATCH         
    
As you're blasting your way through Battlezone, the high-action 
game from Activision, you may experience a few unexpected 
problems not related to the game itself. Activision has released 
a patch that addresses known bugs specific to compatibility with 
DirectX 6.0. It also adds new maps, stabilizes multiplayer 
games, and adds cheating protection. You can download the patch

*4. SECURITY CONFIGURATION MANAGER MMC SNAP-IN BUGS        
    
If you've installed Service Pack 4 for Microsoft Windows NT 
Server, you may experience problems arising from several known 
bugs in the Service Pack. Specifically, Microsoft has identified 
several issues with the Security Configuration Manager (SCM) MMC 
Snap-in that ships with Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4. Microsoft 
has created a supported fix that corrects this, but it has not 
been fully regression tested and should be applied only to 
systems exhibiting this specific problem. If you are not 
severely affected by this problem, Microsoft recommends that you 
wait for the next Windows NT service pack containing this fix. 
If you need to resolve this problem immediately, contact 
Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the fix.


*5. BUGS FIXED IN WINDOWS NT 4.0        
    
Microsoft's Service Pack 4 for Windows NT addresses a number of

*6. CA SALES TAX RETURN PREPARER        
    
CFS, maker of CA Sales Tax Return Preparer for Windows, recently 
released an update that addresses a couple of known bugs in the 
product. Use this update to upgrade CA Sales Tax for Windows, 
versions 9.000 through 9.040, to version 9.045. Make sure you 
have the full Sales Tax installed before installing this update.

*7. GROUPWISE 5 NT GATEWAY FOR EXCHANGE PATCH        
    
Novell has identified a host of problems with its GroupWise 5 NT 
Gateway for Exchange. Some of the problems you may experience 
include a GPF while processing certain inbound messages, an 
attachment conversion error that occurs while processing outbound 
attachments, and a GPF while processing inbound message with OLE 
attachments. To address these and other issues, Novell recently 
released a patch file, exchnt1.exe. For more information and to

*8. AUTODESK CIVIL DESIGN PATCH        
    
Are you using Autodesk's Civil Design? If so, you'll be 
interested in a recently released patch that includes two major 
updates and corrects known defects Autodesk identified in the

*9. C++ HANGUPS        
    
Are you developing with Microsoft Visual C++, 32-bit Edition 
6.0? If so, you should be aware of a known bug that can cause 
hang-ups. Microsoft has acknowledged that the CArrayRowset class 
included with the Visual C++ 6.0 OLE DB Templates may hang when 
retrieving data. Specifically, Microsoft identifies a bug in 
CvirtualBuffer that causes the code to go into a loop when it 
fetches more than one page of data (4K), and a problem that 
occurs when you attempt to obtain a record that doesn't exist, 
thereby sending the code into an endless loop. The solution is to 
copy the code of the CArrayRowset template found in the Knowledge 
Base article below into your own ".h" file and rename the class.

*10. AUTODESK MECHANICAL DESKTOP PATCH        
    
Autodesk recently released an update to its Mechanical Desktop 
3.01 product that addresses a variety of issues. This update 
program will update Mechanical Desktop 3 or Mechanical Desktop 
(MDT) 3.0a to Mechanical Desktop 3.01. Issues addressed include 
problems with hidden line view generation, file migration, and
