J.K Rowling was born on july 31 1965,in Chipping, Sodbury.Her sister DI,was born 2 years after.As a little girl,Joanne Kathleen Rowling loved to write.She wrote her fist story when she was 6.It was about a rabbit named Rabbit,who was sick and was visited by his friends.(Among those friends,was a giant bee called Miss.Bee).Thier family moved twice,on the first move,they went to Winterbourne,where they met the Potter siblings.Joan liked thier name very much.
In 1990,at the age of 26,she moved to Portugal to teach English.She loved teaching English.At that time,she started her third novel,(the first two were "very bad").It was about a boy who found out that he was a wizard,and was sent to a wizard school.While in Potugal,she met and married a Portugese journalist.Thier daughter,Jessica was born in 1993.
Joanne got divorced and took her daughter,and they moved to Edinurgh Scotland,to be close to her sister Di.Joanne wanted to finish her novel before she started work teaching French.So she wrote at a cafe,while Jessica was napping.
After she finished the book,Arthur A.Levine books/Scholastic press,bought the American rights for enough money that she was able to quit teaching. |
