CLASSROOM UPDATES
Due to techincal difficulties in my computer hard drive, I do not have a computer to use until my computer is repaired.  Consequently, I will not be able to receive email during school hours.  I will, however, be able to access my email from home each night.  If you would like to get in touch with me, please send a note via the agenda.  Each student should have a paper clip marking the week we are on.  Please attach any notes there.

School pictures are this week!  First grade classes are tentatively scheduled for Thursday, September 17th.  Although this is typically a PE day, I am requesting that my female students be dressed in their uniform jumper, not uniform shorts, and dress shoes.   Please send in sneakers to change into for PE.
Our first field trip this year, will be on Monday, October  13th, to Roper Mountain Science Center.  If you are interested in being a Chaperone, please submit a driver's form and a photocopy of Driver's License and Insurance Card to the office.
In Phonics and Languange Arts, the Unit 1 test grade will be counted for both subjects.  In the future, the Phonics test will be separate from the Language Arts test.
In Phonics this week, we will be reviewing the Decodable books for homework.  This is an extension of the lesson for the day.   Although I have a few students who are reading at levels above these books, I encourage them to still review the books for letter sound/spelling recognition.
