Aly Buchanan was driving home from work during one of the worst gridlock delays of the month. She turned on the radio to drown out the sounds of honking car horn and screaming people.

�This is Danielle Manero doing the five-thirty entertainment sleaze. While in LA yesterday, singer JC Chasez was spotted canoodling with new singer Sam Roberts. There were reports that the pair were spotted other places around the area holding hands and cuddling. But from what I can remember, JC has a girlfriend here in New York. So I wonder what that is all about?� the radio blared.

Aly froze. She couldn�t believe her ears. JC was her boyfriend. He would never cheat on her. Never. He wasn�t that type of guy. He loved her and she loved him. He would never hurt her. He promised he�d never hurt her. She shook her head. They were lying. There had to be some sort of explanation for it. They were probably just working together on a project. That was it; he was producing a song for her. JC was not cheating on her with Sam Roberts. It was that simple.

Finally Aly got home. She threw her bag down, kicked off her shoes and pulled her hair out of the ponytail it was in. It had been a long day. She was a teacher and her class had been especially tough that day. Then the whole JC thing was bugging her. She just wanted to sleep. She walked over to her answering machine and checked her messages.

�Hey baby, it�s me. Hope you�re okay. Things are good in LA. I�m working on some new stuff with that new singer Sam Roberts. Well, I gotta go meet Sam for lunch. I�ll talk to you later! Love you.� JC said

And it was confirmed. JC was just working with Sam on a project; nothing else was going on between them. Aly went into her kitchen to make herself some dinner. After she ate, she went to watch some television. She turned on �Access Hollywood� to catch up on her celebrity gossip.

�Pop singer JC Chasez was spotting holding hands and kissing new singer Sam Roberts over the past few days while they were working together in LA. JC has a girlfriend named Aly who lives in New York. I wonder how she feels about this.� The announcer said

�Like shit.� Aly replied

Aly could feel her heart traveling up to her throat. Her eyes were beginning to fill with tears. She felt her feelings from the car coming back.

Aly didn�t know what to do. She was starting to believe it. She didn�t want to believe it but the evidence was becoming stronger and clearer.

Her mind was racing. She didn�t know what to do. Should she confront him about it or wait until he brought it up? She couldn�t get the picture of them kissing out of her head. It was stabbing into her brain over and over again. She loved him, nothing could stop that, but she couldn�t believe that he would do something so horrible to her. She wanted to hate him, but she didn�t know how.

Aly decided to call JC and see what he had to say about the whole thing. Maybe then she could get some sort of idea about what was really happening. She picked up the phone and dialed JC�s cell phone.

�Hey Al.� he answered

�Hey babe. What�s up?� she asked

�Not much. Just hanging in my room.� He said

�Alone?� she asked

�Yeah, why?� he replied

�Just wondering.� She said

�Are you okay? You sound upset.� He said

�Actually Jace, I have something to ask you.� She said

�What is it?� he asked

�Well today I heard something that bothered me.� She said

�What?� he asked

�That you were seen holding hands and kissing Sam Roberts.� She said

�Really?� he asked

�Yeah. I found that a little weird since you�re supposed to be my boyfriend and everything.� She said

�I never meant for you to find out this way.� He said

�You mean it�s true?� she asked

�Yes.� He confessed

�I can�t believe you!� she exclaimed

�I didn�t mean for it to happen, it just kind of did.� He said

�Things like that don�t just happen JC.� She said

�Well this time they did.� He said

�We�re over.� She said firmly.

�I�m sorry.� He said

�Yeah so am I.� she replied and hung up.

She knew she�d never forgive him as long as she lived. She loved him with all that she was and he turned around and broke her heart. She knew she would recover but she would never forget the pain she felt at that moment.

Feeling tired from the days events, Aly decided to go to bed. Maybe thing would look brighter in the morning.
