Right Kind of Wrong

Youre going out with Chris again? Saiydas roommate Sandy asked.

Yes, Sandy Im going out with Chris again. Whats the big deal? Saiyda asked.

Nothing, its just that youve been out with him every night this week. Sandy pointed out.

So? I like him a lot. Saiyda defended

I was afraid of that. I dont want to sound preachy Sandy started.

So stop talking. Saiyda responded

But I think I should warn you. Chris is such a ladies man. Sandy said

Blah blah. Spare me. Saiyda mock yawned.

Sai, I work for him. I think I would know. Sandy said

I know you do. But with me Chris isnt like that. Hes sweet. Saiyda responded.

Know all about
About your reputation
And how it's bound to be a heartbreak situation
But I can't help it if I'm helpless
Every time that I'm where you are

Saiyda finished getting ready and left for her date. She got to the restaurant a few minutes early and sat at the bar to wait for Chris. When he got there, he spotted her instantly and walked over to her.

Is this seat taken? he asked.

She looked up. Chris! Hi!

Hey Sai. You look beautiful as usual. Here, I got you flowers. He said, handing her roses.

They gorgeous! Thank you. She replied blushing

Anything for you. He said winking at her.

She heard Sandys warning in the back of her mind but she pushed them out of the way. He hugged her and they went to sit at a table.

You walk in and my strength walks out the door
Say my name and I can't fight it anymore
Oh I know, I should go
But I need your touch just too damn much

So Chris said once they got settled.

How was your day? he asked.

Good. I got some extra writing in. she replied.

Thats good. I wanted to call you earlier, but Sandy told me you werent home. He said.

Yeah. I had an audition this morning. She said.

How do you think you did? he asked.

Pretty good. The male lead is such a jerk though. She said, disgusted.

Im sorry. He said, touching her hand.

She sighed. Maybe Ill give him another chance. I mean, you were a jerk in the beginning but look at us now. She said.

You thought I was a jerk? he asked.

Just a little. She replied.

Aw man. I thought I was special. He pouted

Oh Christ Chris. You know I love you. She replied

I would hope so. Weve seen each other all week and all of last week too. He said.

I have a good time with you. She confessed.

Even though everyone tells you not to. He added.

I can make my own decisions. She said.

She had heard all of the rumors about Chris. Of course they werent always very nice. She felt it wrong to judge him based on supposed truth. Some things were more obvious, like the flirtatiousness. Chris would always flirt with the female bartenders, waitresses, etc. She like a jerk stood there and watched him do it on multiple occasions. She knew that if she wanted some sort of chance with him, she would have to put her foot down. But every time he would flash that million-dollar smile, he had her.

Loving you isn't really something I should do
Shouldn't wanna spend my time with you
That I should try to be strong
But baby you're the right kind of wrong
Yeah baby you're the right kind of wrong

They ate dinner, casually having conversation. While Saiyda was in min-sentence, she noticed Chriss eyes wander over to another beautiful young woman. She groaned inwardly and kicked him under table.

What? he asked.

You know, focusing on the girl you brought here is nice. She said.

Im sorry. How bout I make it up to you? We can have dessert back at my place. He suggested.

You amaze me. She marveled

Why? he asked.

Because. Youre not like any other guy Ive dated. One minute I want to smack you, the next minute I want to kiss you. She replied.

Well I like the kissing me idea. He said pulling her in for a kiss.

She smiled as they separated. Thats the part I like best.

Might be a mistake
A mistake I'm making
But what you're giving I am happy to be taking
Cause no one's ever made me feel
The way I feel when I'm in your arms

They paid the check and left for Chriss apartment. The subway ride was short but enjoyable. Conversation between them came easily since both were very talkative. At last, they got to his apartment. It was a place where Saiyda had been often, especially that week. Every date ended in a trip there. While sitting on the couch for what felt like the millionth time, Saiyda began to think.

She really didnt understand why no one wanted her with Chris. For the first time she was happy with her relationship. It wasnt like her past few relationships where things were purely sexual. There was an element of that with Chris but there was also a sense of commitment. She was the only one he cared about.

They say you're something I should do without
They don't know what goes on
When the lights go out
There's no way to explain
All the pleasure is worth all the pain

After an intense make out session, they sat on the couch watching television.

Chris? Saiyda asked.

Yeah babe? he questioned.

How do you feel about me? she wondered.

I really care about you. Youre such a great person. Most girls would only want to date me because I was Chris Trousdale the big star, but youre not like that. You actually took the time to get to know me and like me for the person I am. Not for the fame I have or the money I make but for me. How does that sound? he asked.

Perfect. She said, smiling to herself.

Loving you isn't really something I should do
Shouldn't wanna spend my time with you
That I should try to be strong
But baby you're the right kind of wrong
Yeah baby you're the right kind of wrong

The next few weeks were really crazy for both of them. It seemed that the more their relationship bloomed, the more trouble there was. After every fight she would get in, Saiyda would end up on Chriss doorstep. One day when she got home from work, she got into a big fight with Sandy.

How many times do I have to tell you that getting serious about Chris is a bad idea? Sandy asked.

How many times do I have to tell you to butt out? Saiyda spat back.

Dont get an attitude with me. Im just trying to help. Sandy said.

Well help me by minding your own business. Saiyda replied.

Do you really think he loves you? Sandy asked

I never thought he loved me. Im not in love with him! Saiyda exclaimed.

Youre just another easy lay to him! Sandy cried.

Shut up! You dont even know what youre talking about! Saiyda screamed

Oh come on. Hes just like every other guy. Sandy said.

No hes not. He actually cares about me, which is more than I can say about you. Saiyda said, her eyes filling with tears.

I care! Thats why Im telling you this is wrong! Sandy exclaimed.

Whatever. Im leaving. Saiyda said, picking up her overnight bag.

Where are you going? Sandy asked.

Away. Ill be back in a few days. Saiyda said, leaving the house with a slam of the door.

I should try to run
But I just can't seem to
'Cause every time I run you're the one I run to
Can't do without, what you do to me
I don't care if I'm in too deep

Saiyda took the subway to Chriss, knowing that he would he would be there for her. She buzzed the buzzer and took the elevator up. By the time that she got to the door, he was waiting for her.

What happened? he asked, seeing her tear stained face.

Sandy and I got into another fight. She cried

What did she say this time? he asked

That-that Im just another easy lay to you. She said

What? You know thats not true right? he asked

Yeah I know. I cant believe she said that! she said

Me either. Come in baby. You can stay here as long as you want. He said, ushering her into the house.

Thanks. I only packed for about three days. Hopefully everything will blow over by then. She said, hanging up her jacket

Are you hungry? he asked

Nope, Im good. I ate before I left the house. She said

Okay. Sit down. He said, pulling her onto the couch

She let him hold her while she finished crying.

About your reputation
And how its' bound to be a heartbreak situation
But I can't help it if I'm helpless

I was just thinking she said

About what? he asked

Remember when we first met? she questioned

When you came with Sandy to the interview? he asked

Yeah. God, that was funny. She said

What? Why? he wondered.

Gosh, I hated you before then. She replied

Really? he asked, completely shocked.

Oh yeah. I thought you were so gay. She added

But you were so nice. He said

Yeah, when you came in, I was totally shocked because you werent what I expected at all. I mean, I thought you were hot. She explained.

Well thanks. He replied

No problem. Then you said my name was coolIm such a sucker for that. She said.

Ive noticed. He replied

Shut up. Then remember when we posed for the picture and you hugged be extra close? And your hand was on my hip? she questioned.

Yeah. I thought you were so hot. He said.

She smiled.

You walk in and my strength walks out the door
Say my name and I can't fight it anymore
Oh I know, I should go
But I need your touch just too damn much

The next few days were like heaven on earth for both Saiyda and Chris. IT made them realize how much they had in common and how true their feelings were.

Hey baby? Chris asked

They had just finished dinner and were hanging out. Saiyda had planned on going home that night to try and fix things with Sandy.

Yeah? she questioned

I was thinking he said

Uh oh. She teased

No seriously. I have an idea. He said

What is it? she asked

Would you like to move in here with me? he questioned

Are you serious? she asked, her eyes wide

Yes. These past few days have been great and Id really like it if you stayed. He said honestly

Well, it has been great and Im honored. Yes, Ill move in. she said

I love you. He said for the first time

I love you too. She replied.

Loving you isn't really something I should do
Shouldn't wanna spend my time with you
That I should try to be strong
But baby you're the right kind of wrong
Yeah baby you're the right kind of wrong
