Introduction to Erisian Magic 101
Now that that's out of the way, let's get to a brief outline of what's to come. First, we will speak of what Erisian magic is, and define what Erisian magic in the World of Darkness is all about. Then we will go into the Ahsiro, those powerful spirits that are the driving force behind Erisian magic. The third section is about creating Erisian characters and offers guidelines for putting them together, plus Erisian traits that are specific to Erisian characters. The fourth section contains the Erisian magic system. The fifth section will detail odds and ends, including famous practitioners, some craftworkings, and other such goodies.
The Erisian magic rules set forth here are meant to be guidelines for roleplaying - they are purposefully vague in some areas, especially having to do with the Ahsiro and the powers of Erisian magic. Because of the intimate and personal nature of each character's relationship to the Ahsiro, there can be no absolutes in Erisian magic - that is its very nature. Erisian magic is a religion, and is based on the relationship between Ahsiro and practitioner. It cannot and it will never be an 'automatic' thing - such hubris as to think one can order a semi-deity around will sure to be punished.
