An idea is crystalizing in my mind... the buzzword for the week is "meme".
meme: (pron. 'meem') A contagious idea that replicates like a virus, passed on from mind to mind. Memes function the same way genes and viruses do, propagating through communication networks and face-to-face contact between people. The root of the word "memetics," a field of study which postulates that the meme is the basic unit of cultural evolution. Examples of memes include melodies, icons, fashion statements and phrases.
What is a meme? Also read:
Is Christianity is a meme?--a mind virus that lives in the minds of people and is spread through proselytization and other means.
I should have a memes link page up by next week - until then, use your browser! The survival of humanity could very well depend on the creation of new memes.

First of all, I'd like to thank Judy, without whom that San Francisco time/weather thingee would not have been possible.
Next, I would like to thank the good people of Yahoo Religion:1 Chat, who have inspired me to create this website. There is no finer chatroom in all of cyberspace - it's an education equal to anything you could get in a junior college philosophy course :=) (Especially if you like to be abused.)
Yahoo just seems to be head and shoulders over everybody else when it comes to chat. Perhaps this is because of the "free speech" that is allowed there.
Hey, without "free speech" any exchange of ideas is impossible. (Look at MSN chat :=)
