Herman is free at last!

As Honeybunches sailed away, Herman started to cry.  He knew that he was lost at sea and would, most likely, never see any person again.
Just when he thought things couldn't get any worse, he looked up toward the sky and realized the sun had gone behind some very big, dark, clouds.  The clouds were abnormally large and went on for as far as the eye could see.
From where he was, he noticed that the clouds were swirling. Oh my god! he thought, that could mean one of two things.  One, waterspout or two, HURRICANE!  He opened his mouth to scream, but nothing came out.
In the distance he could see waves crashing and a sea of white water approaching.  He knew it was a hurricane.
In a last ditch effort to escape, he started paddling with his hands and he was soon engulfed in an explosion of wind and white water.  He opened his mouth to scream, again, but he thought it pointless.
He held on the sides of the boat with all his strength.  He closed his eyes and hoped to awake on the ship.  He could hear the waves smashing against his mediocre little raft.  But, then, all the waves had stopped.
Herman opened his eyes, only to see the most enormous wave he had seen in his life, heading right for him!  This time he did scream; at the top of his lungs at that! He only had time to scream for only a second as he was engulphed with water and his boat was instantly obliterated.
He struggled to stay above the water and he struggled for his life.  Thunder and wind made it a deafening ordeal.  That was when he blacked out.

Lost at sea

Herman awoke on a sandy beach on what appeared to be an island!  He was horribly cut up and his skin was stinging with pain.  He tried to sit up but winced in anguish and fell back to the ground.
He sat their, helplessly on the ground, waiting for someone to come and help him up, but soon realized that the island was most likely deserted.  He knew that he would either have to wait for a non-existent person to come along and help him up, or he could gather the strength and courage to do it himself.
He pushed up, but his legs couldn't do it.  He fell back down to the ground.  He sighed.
Suddenly, a voice came out of nowhere saying, "Are you quite done?"
    "Huh?  Who said that?"
    "It was I!"
Herman gathered enough strength together to look to his right where a clam sat, it could talk!
"Oh my gosh!  A talking clam!"
"Oh my gosh!  A talking person!  Anyway, would you like some help getting up?"
Herman didn't know what a clam on the beach could do to help him get up, but he thought oh what the heck! "It would be greatly appreciated," Herman sighed weakly.
"Okey Doke!" said the clam.  Suddenly the clam shouted, "hey, Sam!"
A toucan that was flying around in the air, came down and greeted the clam.  "What's up, Mrs. Clam?"
Mrs. Clam answered, "could you pushed me under...um..."
    "Herman"
"Yes.  Could you push me under Herman?"
"Anything for you, Mrs. Clam!" The toucan, Sam, gave Mrs. Clam a light shove and sure enough, she found herself under Herman.
"OPEN SESAME!" she screamed.  Mrs. Clam opened up and lifted Herman's back until it was a ninety-degree angle.  "There you go, sonny boy!  Try standing up now."
    "I can't," Herman moaned.
Mrs. Clam screamed, "GET UP NOW!"
Herman was startled and he jumped quickly to his feet.  "Wow!  Thanks Mrs. Clam!"
"Please, call me Muriel.  YOU TOO SAM HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU TO CALL ME MURIEL YOU BUMBLING...angel!" There was a long pause.  Then they all laughed.  Then there was another long pause. 1
