Play Day:

The club put on a Play Day in Crooks on Sunday, September 15. Diane Nickel made the following report:
The first Play Day for the Pride of the Prairie was a success. We made $350 minus expenses of $50 donation to the Crooks Saddle Club for the facilities and $50 for Doug and Diane to cover the barbeques, hot dogs, and buns.
I would like to thank Doug and Lori Richards for the donation of ribbons, cigars, making the surfboard for the surfboard race, making sure we had barrels and poles and other items for the play day and for the ring help given by them.
I would like to thank Trent and Angie for their donation of eggs and spoons and all the time in the arena helping set up for the events.
Thank you to Sue and Pete for your help in the announcer's stand and the ring help.
Thank you to Doug for your announcing all day.
I would like to thank Barb Keenan for the ketchup, mustard, and the pickle relish. (I know it was hard for you to give up your pickle relish.)
Thanks to Judy, Stephanie, and Ann for their help in the concession stand. Thanks to Kathy, Judy, Stephanie, Ann, and Lori for their baked goods for the concession stand.
Thank you to Steve for your ring assistance.
Thanks to Alise and Tyler for their help prior to and during the day since you did not get to bring a horse.
Thanks to everyone I forgot, it takes everyone to make this a success.

Open Show Year End High Points:

Lori Richards reports there were three participants in the Open Show category - two in youth and one in adult. They counted 3 shows with $6 coming from each show. The money will be used to purchase high point awards. Congratulations to Lori Richards, Nicole Rabenberg, and Libbey Richards!!
