6th Annual Prairie Classic:
We had a good turnout on June 15-16. The weather cooperated and only sprinkled a little bit on Saturday morning. The temperature was in the mid 80's with low humidity. Perfect weather for a horse show! Everyone appreciated the facility. The footing in the arena wasn't to everyone's liking but we spent a lot of time working it up. The stalls were fantastic! It was nice using stalls where the doors shut on all the stalls! Water hydrant by every door. The wash rack was workable. The staff at the MultiPlex worked very hard to make sure everything was just right. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped. To name just a few, Pete Kulp and Doug Richards for announcing, Sue Kulp and Terri McCarthy for helping, Laurie Thompson for having an extra pair of hands when I was going nuts, Angie Phelps and Lori Richards for being in charge of the show office, Troy Nickel for the steer daubing calves plus all the equipment to handle them, Kathy & Dennis Duvall for keeping track of show points plus they handled the silent auction, Steve Hein for being ring steward, Clarence Hanson for being gate man, I don't think I know everything Trent Mattoon did but he sure was available when we needed something plus he was our night watchman both nights, Steph Hein helped out at the show office, Michelle and Nathan for everything they did. Chris Hein brought the judges from Sioux Falls to Brookings on Saturday so we didn't have to get them a rental car and Stephanie took them back on Sunday. I know I am missing people but it took everyone to pull this off. We were a great team!
THANK YOU...
