| i am a pirate and damn proud | ||||||
| with all of the current events involving anti-downloading music laws, i have been very grief stricken. all of the government dudes who want to abolish downloading suck. i don't actually download any of the files that people are getting pissed off about. all of the mp3's from my computer were either ripped by me or are songs that are owned by nice people like the good folks at capcom who wouldn't dream of hurting someone like me. mainly i download anime that is not available in the usa yet. when i download something that is available, then it's illegal and bla bla bla. it's not any worse than my vast colection of roms and emulators. i don't think that those are bad either because nobody is making a profit off of old nintento games. i'm sure that the used game stores that sell them at about a dollar a pop are making thousands of dolars from them. without those sales, they might go bankrupt, have to put their kids up for adoption and become a hobo who does "things" (i say that to keep from saying anything that might offend my mother) for crack. and i am the pope. seriously, those things should be free. anyway, back to the downloading stuff. downloading is such a big part of my life that if it is permenantly removed, i will become a bitter, broken, shell of a man and it will greatly delay my planned hermithood because it will take me many extra years to build up a collection of entertainment that will satisfy me. thinking about being a hermit makes me happy. mmmmmm...hermitism. poon with a spoon out. oh yea...arg. |
