I open my eyes
Instantly
I know something is different
Warmth?
I roll over
And then I see you
What's this?
Am I still dreaming?
And then I remember
Laying down

Last night
It IS real

To reinforce that realization
To embrace the warmth
That is you so close to me

I say, and you smile
I feel us getting closer
But I know I must proceed
With caution

One part friendship
