| I read a touching story during the offseason about how Randy Moss acted as a sort of guardian figure for a young kid. I couldn't help comparing that to hiring a crack dealer or a child molestor to help with your children. When it comes to Randy Moss' play, well, frankly he was too inconsistent last year for my liking. He's good for a 3rd round pick. So old. Consistent but so so old. Not throwing to good receivers, has a strangely pronounced name, these are all major strikes against. I like Aaron Brooks way way more. Also Tiki Barber. I wanted this man on my team. In retrospect I shoulda taken him before TO. Joe hates him and that made me hesitate, and when you hesitate in fantasy, it's the end of you. I actually like Barber more than Fred Taylor, who Norman drafted in the last round. As I mentioned before, this guy is one of my favorites. His scrambling is underrated, he's throwing to Horn, an emerging Stallworth and Pathon who's good for a slot receiver and even Deuce catches some balls. If Manning hadn't made it to me in the first round, i very well might have taken Brooks. He plays through a lot of injuries, but that's just because he's injured all the time. I'd rather have Garcia back problems and all. Everyone seems to have come into the draft with the positions they want drafted each round picked before hand, this seems to be the QB round. Joe, Matt and I were priviledged enough to witness Bledsoe in action in person. I can now say with authority that Bledsoe is a small blue person who throws the ball far. He stands in back of a lot of other blue people. I think he may be caucasian. Before the season started I would have nodded and said that this pick was ok, nothing special. Gets a lot of 100 yard games because the Ravens passing game is about as effective as Vagisil is at clearing up my athelete's foot. Then Lewis broke the all time single game rushing record, so i'll go so far as to say this might even be a "good" pick. Yeah, I know I'm going out on a limb here. Zounds! I am red with rage! I am really angry! I am beside myself with anger! Well, I'm not really that upset, but I woulda really have liked a good RB or QB this round, and all my prime candidates just got picked off like a Daunte Culpepper deep pass. I like Horn, Holt and Ward more than Moulds, especially with Peerless Price gone. I don't know anything about college, so I have no idea how Josh Reed will do filling Price's shoes, so I'm going to put down this pick like it's a rabid, 3-legged, pit bull with mange. I would've loved to have gotten a RB here but whatever. Horn is great. He makes me horny. Get it? Horny? So yeah, I don't get ESPN down here. Or Comcast Sportsnet. The only football games I get to watch are Redskins and Ravens games. I mean that's fine, except it's like eating pound cake all the time. Yeah, you can survive and all, but after a while you really start craving something a little more exciting and after a while even a Cleveland Browns game would be great just as a change of pace. |
