| Rashard Lewis was a top 20 fantasy pick last year, but now he's got a shoulder injury, less incentive now that he has his multibilliontrillionzillion dollar contract and also there is the matter of budding superstar Desmond Mason. This is a much safer pick. Mobely's guaranteed to score an assload of points though he doesn't rebound like Lewis. Even with Francis healthy and the Chinese telephone poll, Mobely's gonna get plenty of scoring. Houston does little else but score, and with Mcdyess a walking injury magnet and Sprewell a headcase, Houston will receive all of the defense's attention. I don't see him being all that this year. He's a great PG, but he will miss at least 20 games this year. Not a bad pick, but with Francis and Cassell as his two PGs, Ade will be making good use of his IL spot. Sam Cassell bears an astounding resemblance to Baraka from Mortal Kombat and is rumored to be from Mars. It pains me to say this about a center who is both caucasian and is a worse blocker than one of my shooting guards, but this is actually a decent pick. G again reached a bit in his quest for a center, but Brad Miller has been a pretty good scorer and rebounder despite playing alongside J O'neal, who overshadows him in every way. Steals, threes. The non-self styled Kobe stopper doesn't turnover the ball very much and is definitely a steal considering he's better than Bibby who went last round. Marbury is probably one of the better PGs in the NBA, he just gets a lot of bad publicity for not being Jason Kidd. He still gets a ton of assists and threes, and he has now done his part to tell kids that drunk driving is okay and won't even get you in jail. Everyone knows I love this guy, so I'll just repeat that if he plays like he did last season (#3 overall fantasy pick), this is the steal of the draft, and if he doesn't, then this is a mediocre pick. Note: I have learned recently that Brent Barry IS actually Jon Barry's brother despite that they were born on opposite sides of the country. He's old, but he's one of the premier big men in the east. He's a great all around pick, except for his rebound numbers which suck ass. If his health keeps up, good pick. With Denver he was a really great fantasy pick, then he got traded and he's the 6th wheel in Dallas. Not the fifth, that's Lafrentz, but the 6th wheel. I don't like him, but he's the last non-rookie PG who will produce consistently. Except for Chauncey Billups. Oh dear, phil, why didn't you pick Chauncey Billups? Good pickeroonies: Arun, Howard, Jose Bad pickeroonies: None this round Honorable Mention to Joe and I for getting the "probably good" Supersonics |
