Ok, my boss just went on vacation for a week, so it's officially time for
NBA DRAFT REVIEW 2005: Apoca-vengeance-mania
Nobody seems to realize how young Yao is.  He still has upside and he's already good.  And he really doesn't have any health risks, suspension possibilities or position battles to worry about.

His assist totals and shooting percentages are amazing, but he's getting old and with phoenix decimated by free agency and injuries, he'll have a tougher time of it.  I predict a drop off from last year, albeit a small one.

Brand's a great player, albeit with injury concerns.  It's such a shame that he couldn't play on a real team.  The real question is: what if the Clippers do better than the Lakers this year??  Could the Clippers pull a White Sox? Well, I guess they'd probably need a good pitcher first.

Expect spectacular assist totals now that he has two real scoring options again.  I'm thinking in the 9-11 apg range.  His shooting still sucks though.

Don't know what to expect out of Pierce's fg%, but with Walker gone again it's basically on him to carry the team every night.  Fortunately he puts up 50 points every once in a while.  Good pick.

Ok, I kinda wanted Brad Miller too, just because he's in a good offense and he puts up good numbers in points, rebs and assists.  Still though, I think this is a center stretch because he's such an injury risk.  Also, there was talk in the preseason of putting Shareef at center so that they'd be more "athletic", meaning of course, "black".

Speaking of injury problems, here's Baron Davis, who would be an first rounder easy if he was ever healthy.  Still though, Davis is an impact player and a solid second round pick.

He'll never reach the peak of his popularity or promise that he had briefly in Toronto, but playing with Kidd and Richard Jefferson definitely has definitely improved him.  Note: With AI and Carter, Will has a lock on ppg.

He's the man.  Especially with the lineup that the Pacers are bringing this season.  I wouldn't be surprised if the final is SA vs. Indiana.  (I notice that every single expert has also predicted this, so I'm changing my prediction to Utah vs Milwaukee just to be original)

I hate watching him play.  Also he's says stupid things.  And his ft% sucks.  And he's injured a lot.  He's still Shaq though: I'm sure he still has some domination left in him.

The other Big Ben.  His numbers have been slowly declining and his free throw percentage has always been pretty good for a five year old blind triple amputee with multiple sclerosis.  I think this is early for Ben Wallace, especially considering the incredible need to get Milcic out on the freaking floor and learning how to play.
