Big string of Firecrackers at A ma temple in Macau

Tuesday – 20-Feb-01

KCR to Taipo, Couldn’t find 72A bus, so I took a taxi again, later learned I would have needed to transfer.

The group went out for Dim Sum lunch.

Got an email from Mimi telling me to buy some things, so I had a female coworker direct me to some jewelry stores, since they were the same ones another coworker back in AZ had recommended, I felt confident I would not be ripped off, although Mimi suggested I take a local co-worker shopping with me just in case.

Back to the hotel and out to roam the streets again. I got some shish-kabob things from a small restaurant open to the street and walk up service, just a coupla hundred yards from the hotel. When I couldn’t understand the lady’s attempts at English, when I spoke Cantonese, she understood me, the other lady working there asked me how many years I had lived in Hong Kong!

By the time I found the jewellry  stores they were closing (10pm or so).
