Scores
OK due mad research work I can't do the recaps any more. But the
scores are updated now, through week 15. Two more weeks to go!
Recaps:
Week 9: It was a pretty
lame week in terms of offense, with total points the third lowest total
of the year. Team Lamond
took a narrow lead of just five points over last week's leader, Von
Hayes, which had Dom Davis as its best RB. Not a good sign.
Torry Holt was the star for Lamond, with 200 yards receiving and a
TD. Rick Schu put up the best score of the week with 116 points.
New acquisition Chad Pennington (no you can't pick him up Steve),
Armani Tumor, and Troy Shitbreak each had a solid week for Schu.
Nike #1 had a solid week to stay within 40 points of the lead,
but Team Redus is struggling badly, having dropped from 2nd place to
7th in just two weeks. Get your ass in gear, Redus!
Schimpf had a big week with 115 points, but as mentioned in last week's
recap, they've had more than their share of terrible weeks. It'll
be tough to make up a 342 point deficit in 8 weeks... maybe they can get
out of last or something. Jhauns had a good week from their RBs,
but their receivers, who trail Lamond by almost 200 points on the year,
shit the bed again. Drew Brees didn't help matters.
Meanwhile, Bennies had a pretty good week and pulled ahead of
Jhauns for the G-team lead.
Week 8: Team VON HAYES vaulted
into the lead from 4th place behind clutch performances by stars from
the Bungles (Chad Johnson), Texans (Dom Davis), and Aints (Joe Horn),
among others. Lamond had a strong week despite sad efforts by its
RBs... at least Mark wasn't forced to pick up Mike Cloud, who was hurt,
or William Green, who was using the bye week to drive drunk and get
high. Homey's teams had awful weeks... Stephen Davis picked up 26
points, but unfortunately that was almost half of Redus' total score for
the week. Schimpf has now had three weeks with less than 40
points, which is a bit of a problem. They've got good players who
are performing way below their potential this year. It doesn't
help that he has 1 point by a TE in 8 weeks.
Honkeys is showing signs of life after a rough start. Hopefully
their RBs can stay out of car accidents in the near future.
Meanwhile, both of G's teams put up solid weeks, with 116 and 112
points. Jhauns has a good 4 week stretch going, and is very
dangerous with the monster RB trio of McAllister, James, and
Porti. Now if only their WRs would get their heads out of their
butts...
Scoring rulings:
Week 7: At the end of the first half, Culpepper threw a long pass
to Randy Moss, who caught it and lateraled it to Moe Williams, who ran
it in for the score. Culpepper will get credit for a long TD pass
b/c the play went 59 yards, but Moe Williams will get credit for a short
TD b/c his part in the play was only about 20 yards.
Week 6: Someone on the Dolphins fumbled at the 2 yard line, and
the ball was picked up by Randy McMichael and run in for a TD.
McMichael will get credit for the TD since no member of the
opposing team controlled the ball (therefore no change of possession)
Week 5: Brad Johnson got picked off on a long pass, and the
Indianapolis player ran the ball back a good number of yards. He
was stripped of the ball by an offensive player, and Keenan McCardell
scooped up the ball and ran for a TD. Since there WAS a change of
possession in this instance, TB Defense will get the points for a long
TD return, since the offensive players became defensive after the change
of possession (during the INT return).
Other notes: Try to pay attention to who has a bye week. In
week 7, Marcel Shipp, Amos Zereoue, Jay Riemersma, and Edgerrin James
were in people's lineups, but all had bye weeks. I substituted in
players for them and did the scores that way. I'm guilty of this
myself, having played Anthony Thomas when the Bears were off.
If you want to do an add and don't know if somebody already has the
player you want to pick up, just open up the spreadsheet and do a search
for the guy's name. There should be something about search in the
edit menu. You might want to just search for the first few letters
of the guy's name since my spelling sucks (like I smelled Buckhalter,
BuckWalter)
GO EAGLES!
