The first level of pookness: Self-Expression as Art

I hope to go see Apocalypto this weekend! I've been excited about this movie since last year. From the previews I've seen, it looks pretty good. Native speakers were used as actors, and it seems to me that a great deal of research has been done to peg the customs, and apparel exactly. I still remember that cool clip I saw some time ago in which noble women had jade and gold on their teeth.

In school learned to speak Spanish, but sometimes I watch Telemundo and Univision to keep my skills up. Once, I saw a blurb from one of those entertainment news shows in which a reporter was asking Mel Gibson if the movie was offensive. That really got me thinking. When I saw all those previews, I didn't see anything offensive. In fact, I got excited about the opposite, that the movie was culturally sensitive, and well researched. Well, in truth, one can't peg a movie as offensive or antisemitic or whatever else from previews. You have to sit down and watch the whole thing. Well, I hope to do that this weekend. It would be real nice if Mel Gibson doesn't get into trouble with Apocalypto the same way he did with Passion of the Christ. Or... wait, was that according to his actions in real life, and not the movie itself? Oh, well. That remains to be seen...

***Note, I know this site needs a lot of work as far as links, and well... color? Right now, it's pretty much a skeleton. But my uber graphics skillz will reveal themselves soon, so don't worry. Now, on with the show:***

Wow, I actually have a website already! Cool. I sat down to make a fast crappy one for my World of Warcraft Machinima Top Ten list, but it turns out I had this going already. Gratz to me!! Anyways, I got this new hobby/addiction that involves searching for WOW movies on googlevideo and youtube. There's tons of them, and it took me forever to eventually find some that I liked. Afterwards, I decided to keep track of them all and made up an official list. I don't have any production or movie rating experience, I was in the humanities for crying out loud, but I do think I know funny. At least, I hope I do! Well, see for yourself. At the very least, I'll have saved you loads of time sifting through not so great wow movies online.
