Ricky had a rather difficult summer in that he was sick early in July and it totally threw off his schedule and behaviour! :(
His previously perfect sleeping pattern went totally array, am still trying to get him back to regular routine for sleep.
He started to have alot of new "episodes" that may be seizures but we are not sure.
His neurologist wants him to have another EEG done (regualar one) and also a MRI due to his new problems as well as his worrysome left sided weakeness, especially shown in his worsening left foot problem -- it sticks totally outward and at the same time leans inward and results in his already poor walking getting worse as he falls over his foot all the time. He has leg braces for that but we cannot use them all the time due to the fact it causes his already poor muscle tone to worsen :( Can't seem to win!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrr
Therapy wise, he is almost up to par with fine motor but still is slightly behind there. So therapy for that is down to every 4-6 weeks, whereas the gross motor and speach remain the main issues. He is over a year behind in both areas and now finally the physio therapy will be increased from monthly to bi-weekly. For speach I still have to pay monthly private sessions, hopefully sooner than later he will be picked up for regular speach therapy. But likely not until next summer....then he hopefully will qualify for at least bi-weekly speach therapy preferably weekly. He has a severe delay in expressive speach and moderate delay in receptive speach. His gross motor delays are also severe. Fine motor delays are now down to mild-moderate delay.
Ricky started at his special preschool this month, he will go two mornings per week (Thursday and Friday) and so far so good (though he has only been once LOL). The ratio is only 1:4 and already they've keyed in on his weakeness and are starting a plan of action (so to speak) to help him. He likes it there, but has yet to start interacting with the others.
