Happy Holidays everyone!
Ricky's past year has gone really well, he is doing great despite all his "issues".
Recently his Physio Therapist actually has decided to place him on "evaluation and consultation only" as he has improved alot, still below average in many areas, but is not considered moderate or severe enough to do regular therapy any longer...unless they see he is not progressing well later on. Now they are focasing on Occupational Therapy, still weekly, as that is his worst area, he is 1-2 years behind in that area.
He also was recently clinically diagnosed with ADD, but no meds until school starts. So diagnosis wise we have hypotonia, developmental dyspraxia, sensory integration disorder, OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), mild scoliosis, chorea, hydronephrosis (kidneys). Phew :(
Healthwise he has continued to have several sinus infections, still has enlarged tonsils and adnoids which may require removal in the comming months, but so far no more ear infections :) and no pneumonia this year, yay!
Ricky is a fascinating little guy, a major mommy's boy, loves music, and is just a sweetie pie :)
In a month or so I will be registering my baby for Kindergarten.....to say I have mixed emotions about this is a major understatement!! :( I have already been in contact with the school and they will be giving him 1-2 codes which will enable them to ensure he has a IEP, resource time, and a classroom aide (which may or may not be shared with another student).
Anyway, thats all for now... can't beleive my next update will be when he is FIVE........
