~~~ MISS OLIVIA AT 20 MONTHS!! ~~~
I cannot beleive my baby will be
TWO YEARS OLD in four months!!! :(
Miss Olivia is now 24 pounds, 3 ounces at her belated 19 month
checkup last month...only a few pounds gained since May :(
She is a very happy child and listens quite well!!
Whenever I ask her to do something pretty much
always she will do it!! She amazes me every day! :)
Eating habbits are improving, though still could
be better...she eats real foods now, but not alot of it.
I don't take her to the feeding clinic anymore, its
too far away and with my home-daycare its just
impossible to take her out weekly.
Despite her lousy weight gain she is now
about to go from size 4 diapers to size 5!! :)
Ear infections...well we are STILL getting them :(
She is on another dose of antibiotics thanks to
yet another DOUBLE ear infection.
We are going to finally have her hearing test
on Sept. 22nd and see the ENT again on the 24th.
I will update after those dates with any news...
I am dreading the words SHE NEEDS TUBES....
Developmentally Olivia is a bit behind.
This is due to her prematurity (born at 34 wks).
She is 20 months old but corrected age is 18.5 months.
She is at a 15 month level in her development though :(
So we are to see a Occupational Therapist to assess her
and give me tips on how to help her at home and perhaps
have her seen once a week or every two weeks by a OT.
Her weaknesses are her speach delay (likely due to her ears),
her fine-motor skills are weak and this is what we
are to focas on...such as holding a spoon, putting blocks
together, switching toys in her hands, etc.
I dont think its too big a deal, as long as we get
it corrected ASAP otherwise we may have trouble in
the years to come.
So overall she is doing well, just has a few
issues going on that we are trying to keep
on top of as best we can......

very soon, I just have to find time to
download them and upload them, and place
them on the website!! LOL.....
