~~~ OLIVIA'S 1 YEAR CHECKUP AND UPDATE! ~~~

Well here's the latest scoop on my
sweet little princess!!!!!!

On January 21st, 2003 I took her for her
12 month checkup with her doctor.
She did great and gained up to 20 pounds, 10 ounces!
That was a 2 pound gain since NOvember!!

She got her vaccinations and did well with that too.
The doctor was very happy with her overall,
the only concern we still had was her
ongoing feeding problems and lack of hunger.
Olivia still only eats very small portions
and has to be really distracted in order to eat.
She NEVER "wants" to eat, I feed her because its time
to eat, not because she is fussing wanting food,
she can go a entire day without food and not fuss :(
So the doctor recommended me continue to go to the
feeding clinic at the hospital to help her.

The only downfall was while waiting to see the doc
the waiting room was full of SICK children,
and despite my efforts to keep Olivia away
and not put her mouth on anything,
she got VERY sick a few days later.

Olivia had MAJOR gastro - or stomach flu -
It lasted 10 days and resulted in me taking her
to the ER to have her on IV fluids for a whole day!
The worst part is she lost weight, went down more
than a pound in that one week and is still
at 19.5 pounds now, so all my hard work to
get her to eat well and gain went out the window :(

Otherwise, Olivia is doing well, she loves to sing & "dance".
She is still not walking, prefering to crawl :)
She LOVES peek-a-boo and saying Hello and waving
to anything she sees...be it a human or a toy!! LOL...
She LOVES to laugh too and has the most original laugh!!
