Coco
Marshmallow
Birthday - 3/17
(the day she was born into our family)
Coco was just a ball of matts when I passed her
on the road. I stopped to see what it was,
and she came to me with pleading in her eyes.
I
knew my husband would be angry, but I also knew
that he is a softie. I just couldn't leave
her there, for an unknown fate. We came home and
my 8 year old Valarie immediately started
comforting the poor doggie. She was so bad
off that it was hard to tell if it was a boy or a
girl. We couldn't even tell that there was a
tail!! We took her for a shave and bath
Sunday, and to the vets on Monday. We were
hoping to find a micro chip, but there wasn't
one. We started to search for an owner, and
obviously haven't yet found one.
In August,
we had to put down our Flat Coated Retriever, and
my daughter was broken over it. More so
than we could have ever imagined. She still
cries over her as she hugs her picture. The day
she walked into the garage and found Coco, she
started healing. She hasn't come and
crawled into our bed once since. (and she
was an EVERY nighter!!!) The other animals
we have (an English Setter and 3 cats), didn't
even bother when she came in the house after the
vets visit. It was like she had always been
here. She has her own room (Valaries), she
has her own bed (Valaries) she has her own pillow
(Valaries) and she has her own mommy (I am sure
you can guess...... Valarie!!)
She is as much a blessing to our lives as we are
to hers. I only hope that somewhere out
there, there isn't someone else with a broken
heart because they can't find their little
poodle.
