"No home could ever be complete,
without the pitter-patter of poodle feet."

I'd like to share how Aimee came to me.

My husband and I were trying to have "just one more" baby.  After a year of trying, I became pregnant, but the baby was ectopic, and I had to terminate the pregnancy.  It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life.  And my husband and I both feel it best that we not tempt fate again.  The baby would have been due in mid-February.  Around that same time, I had a dream that I got a little black puppy.  I've never been much of a dog person, but I couldn't get that puppy off my mind.   So I finally asked my husband to call a breeder for me.  They started out with ten puppies.  By the time we could make the drive to go see them, there was only one left, my little black Aimee.  She was 8 weeks old at the time.  The man said he thought the others were cuter, they were all cream colored.  I thought it was more than coincidence that only the little black puppy, just like in my dream, was left for me.  And for the first time since losing my baby, I'm starting to feel whole again.  I've never seen a sweeter puppy.  She's so much like a human baby.  She cries to be held.  She cries to sleep in our bed at night.  She can be wreaking havoc on the house one minute, and then snuggled up in my arms asleep the next.  I honestly believe that she and I were made for each other!
