| California Redwoods This picture was taken about 1921. On the right my Mother, Mary Marcella (Wells) Midkiff, my Dad, Charles Nathanial Midkiff, next to dad my brother, Charles Nathanial jr. ( b.1916) my sister, Margaret (b.1920 is the baby) my sister, Edna (b. 1918) On the left is Our Grandparents, John Franklin Midkiff and his 2nd. wife Maggie Toliver. The rest of the children are my aunts & uncles. |
| My Dad started boxing in 1908 at fourteen years old. He stopped boxing in about 1924. He was Walterweight Champion of the Pacific Norhtwest and retired with that title. He fought 208 bouts and the largest purse he won was for $7,500 for beating Joe Gans |
