| The Pettus House is located on Jeff Road in Monrovia, AL. The house has been abandoned for over 30 years even though Mrs. Pettus was seen at the wall of the property for years after she passed. The house was reputed to be haunted long before Mrs. Pettus added her spirit to the mix. Since it's living occupants vacated, rumors abounded of devil worshippers taking up residence inside. Supposedly sacrifices, murders and all manner of vile acts have taken place here. To this day, teenagers still refer to it as "The Kill House".
