Board,  includes grain 2X daily, all the hay he/she can eat (in warm weather grass pasture), daily grooming, daily turnout, wormer, fly control, blankets on/off, handling for the vet & farrier.    The horses get lots of attention and treats.  You will receive e-mail on how your horse is doing, and pictures.  When youre  horse is here feel free to visit or call to check  on him/her

Horses are in box stalls with wood floors, mats and bagged shavings every night.  Each stall gets 2 buckets of fresh water daily.  In cold weather they get warm water.  (We dump and rinse the buckets daily we do not top off)

The barn is a bright airy center isle barn.  Most stalls have windows to the outside and an opening to the center isle.

In the morning, after the horses are grained, we groom them, and then turn out. (Fence post-n board - no barbed wire, no electric fence.)   There are streams, ponds and water troughs in the paddocks.  Horses have water,  grass or hay available to them at all times.

We watch the horses social activity carefully, and take a lot of time and care introducing a new horse to a group.  It is vitally important to keep the horses in groups or herds.  Then they keep active and move around enough to maintain muscle tone, and  have social lives so they don't get too board.

There is an indoor arena 200' X 40' which the horses readily access from the pasture, to take a break from the mid-day sun or protection from foul weather.  In the winter, there is a trough with heated water in the arena.

We use the same biological fly control as Disney world, and it does help. On some days, we have to spray the horses anyway, and we do request you supply one Farnum Super fly Mask with Ears.   Fly spray is included in the grooming. We will give you horse supplements and medicine you supply.

The vet and farrier bills are not included, but we do not charge to handle the horses while the Vet/Farrier does his job.

The Vets we use are Drs. Vernon Durie and Kevin Baldwin of Cobleskill Veterinary Clinic. But you can used any one you wish  518 234-4311
