Former ICC finger notes… or return to Rev-Darren's spot!
Nope, I’m not leaving the Internet Chess Club anytime soon, but I’m clearing my finger notes for putting down some song lyrics and poems that I enjoy. (An idea that came to me from Siamese-Dream and Sommiel.) But I wanted someplace to store my old finger notes (they inspired me to make my own web page,) so here they are:
Greetings from Darren, an ordained
pastor (ELCA) in Arizona. On ICC
since Sept. '98.
Cool people:
You. Any way you respond,
why? RIP, Rep.
You are remembered.
A favorite Acrobot
acro (not mine): Seabiscuit,
Genius, Rev-Darren, Flanker, Sommiel: Highschool
Chess Club!!
I mainly play
correspondence. If you don't
message or tell me, we won't play. -If
chess be your Ruling Passion (you seek only to win,) you won't like playing me
-nor I you. I prefer having fun
while I play. (And, dast I risk
heresy? There's more to life than
chess...
Part of my life
besides chess: Star Trek, religion
(of course!), Star Trek, any great music, Star Trek, passionate poetry (thanks
Sommiel for rekindling it!), science fiction in general, oh and did I mention
Star Trek? :)
Other cool people
on ICC: arconia, grr, RoyOtis, adam16mr, johnnyrio, salisar, albi, knightrunner,
sommiel, mel, shallowblue, blake, skicolorado, chessdiva, snoopy,
cunninglinguist, spin, dlegvold, minstrel, theyeti, dufferdelux, walla2, reb,
fretboard, moondog, Siamese-Dream, and you (see note 2.)
Laugh all you want
at my ratings. Since I've never (C)heated,
they are mine, and I am proud of them. If
you haven't figured it out, I'm not impressed by people who think any rating in
life is really important. But
congrats if you're titled anyway!
Are you addicted
to ICC and are unhappy? The
answer's the same for any other depressive addiction:
get some help. Most of us
are happy here, I think. (But this
free advice is worth what you paid me for it....)
;)
Yes I'm really
ordained. I ask in advance for
understanding: This is my
recreation time while I'm online. Do
I really "mind" discussing religion?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I
mind anybody crude enough to mock anybody's faith or lack of it without
knowledge of the person. Thank you.
