SPEEDY SALISBURY STEAK
Yields 4 servings
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1 lb. ground beef

Gravy:
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) beef broth
1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. dried basil
1 jar (4-1/2 oz.) sliced mushrooms, drained
Mashed potatoes
In a bowl, combine the first five ingredients.  Crumble beef over mixture and mix well.  Shape into four patties; place in a shallow 2-qt. microwave-safe dish.  Cover and microwave at 70% power for 6 minutes.  Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine flour and broth until smooth.  Stir in the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, basil and mushrooms.

Turn patties; drain. Pour gravy over patties. Cover and microwave at 70% power for 6-8 minutes.  Gently stir gravy; cover and let stand for 5 minutes.  Serve over mashed potatoes.
