POT ROAST OR BEEF
3-4 lb. beef roast
2 to 3 potatoes, sliced
2 to 3 carrots, sliced
1 to 2 onions, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup beef broth
Put vegetables in bottom of crockpot.  Salt and pepper meat to taste, put in pot.  Add liquid.  Cover; cook on Low 10-12 hours or on High 5-6 hours.  Remove meat and vegetables with spatula and thicken for gravy if desired.
