HAM & CHEESE QUICHE
1/3 cup onion, chopped
1/4 to 1/2 cup ham, cooked and cubed
6 oz. Swiss cheese, shredded
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1 (16 oz.) carton whipping cream
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. sugar
dash black or cayenne pepper
Layer the onions, ham and cheese in an unbaked pie crust using a quiche pan or a deep dish pie shell.  Whisk all the other ingredients together and pour into pie shell over the onions, ham and cheese.  Bake in a 425 degree oven for 15 minutes.  Lower  the temperature to 300 degrees and bake another 30 minutes or until a knife inserted on the middle comes out clean.
