GARLIC MASHED POTATOES WITH CRUNCHY ONIONS
Yields 8-1/2 cups
3 cups water
1 cup milk
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. instant minced garlic
3 cups Hungry Jack Mashed Potatoes Flakes
1/4 cup sour cream
1 (2.8 oz.) can french fried onions, crushed
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Lightly grease shallow 1-1/2 qt. casserole.  In medium saucepan, bring water to a boil.  Remove from heat.  Add milk, salt and garlic, stir.  Add potato flakes and sour cream; mix well.  Spoon potatoes into greased casserole.  Sprinkle with onions and cheese.  Broil 4-6-in. from heat for 30-60 seconds or until golden brown.
