FIESTA BURGERS
Yields 6
1/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
3 hamburger buns, split in half
1 lb. ground beef
1 cup shredded American hot pepper cheese or pepper pasteurized process cheese spread
1/4 cup onion
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
In a small bowl, cream together margarine or butter and garlic powder.  Spread evenly on hamburger buns.  In a medium bowl combine ground beef, cheese, onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; mix thoroughly.  Shape into 6  1/2-in. thick patties.  Preheat skillet, uncovered, at 375.  Brown buttered buns in skillet until golden.  Remove from skillet; keep warm.  Reduce heat to 325.  Pan fry patties on each side to desired doneness.  Serve open-face on hamburger bun.
