| 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1 tsp. vanilla 2 cups sifted powdered sugar |

| In a mixing bowl beat together cream cheese, butter or margarine, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until smooth. Spread over cooled cake; sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired. Frosts top of two 8- or 9- in. layers. Cover; store in the refrigerator. | ||
