CONEY DOGS
Yields 24
2 lbs. ground beef
3 small onions, chopped
3 cups water
1 can (12 oz.) tomato paste
5 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. rubbed sage
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
24 hot dogs, cooked
24 hot dog buns
Shredded cheese, optional
In a large skillet, cook beef and onions until beef is browned and onions are tender; drain.  Stir in water, tomato paste and seasonings.  Cover and simmer for 30 minutes; stirring occasionally.  Serve over hot dogs; sprinkle with cheese if desired.
