1998 BMW 740i VS. 1968 Chrysler New Yorker
One side........ and the other!

What you can't see by this scan is that the blue is most definitely not primer, and it is a 1mm thick bondo-like substance. I didn't know bondo came in blue.

The New Yorker and I were in an accident today (1/25/01) while on my way to my friend, Chris' house. Everyone's ok and we have PLENTY of witnesses to say that it was NOT my fault.

I got off the 101 at State St. and was going to make the left to get to the 154 when I see a Tan 1998 BMW 740i barreling down the road, clearly above the speed limit with no signs of letting up. Sure enough, the lady (Birthdate 7/18/1929, wierdly just a day but several, several years before mine) ran the red light and completely, utterly, disgustingly demolished my front end.

Yeah, right! This is a C-body! Come on!

Due to her odd angle of attack, she basically dragged the passenger's side of her car across my passenger's side front end, tore up my fender trim and pushed the fender out a little bit when the Bimmer grabbed my car. The bumper is still straight and has a lot of BMW paint and plastic on it, but it kept her from destroying my grille and headlights. There is some paint left on the grille from her now jacked-up Deutschewagen.

Her car has the right front headlight assembly demolished, bumper smashed/cracked, and fender pushed into the tire. The officer called AAA for a tow truck. :-) Oh, not to mention some of the side trim was pulled off (her blinker behind the rear wheel was hanging by it's wiring), and nice looooong scratches from my bumper and grille down the side of her car to the rear wheel. $60,000 VS $400.

*Evil laugh* I love my car!

From some of the remnants I found at Chris' house that my car tore off of the BMW, I picked up a tan paint chip with BONDO on the back of it. Maybe she doesn't know what RED lights mean.
