"I don't know nuthin' 'bout birthin' no babies!"

Front hooves first, then tiny nose and pink tongue... A tiny guest of ours is fascinated with it all. Dottie (mother) strains, but doesn't appear to be in pain. Her udder is already full and ready to provide milk for her triplets.
Triplets from a different and uncaring mother... still wet and wanting to be cleaned. Just a few minutes old. The middle one is Polly who has Parrot Mouth (lower jaw is shorter than normal).
Cleaning everyone up... Usually, a goat will head for the barn to have her babies. This birth was messy with all the sand sticking to the wet kids. Beatrice (mommy) is trying to deliver her afterbirth (placenta). It will take a while (over an hour) and she will let it hang there while she walks to the barn, being led by Lydia and while finishing cleaning up her babies (see below). (Yes, that's Poop on my shirt!
The one on the left (Hugh) has just come out. Lydia has cleaned the mucus and membrane from his nose and he is breathing well. Hugh's brother, born less than two minutes before, is already trying to stand. He'll be content to lie there for a few minutes, though.
